Bury Walls


FULL - Reserve list only

Minibus to Hawkstone Park Follies car park to walk to Bury Walls Hill Fort [not normally accessible] and and on to Moreton Corbett Castle. From there the minibus will take you to Brown Moss. After a short walk around the moss you will walk back into Whitchurch. Leader: Lynn Shimwell. Packed lunch required

Abstracting Whitchurch

Bargates

Sketching walk around the town, returning to work up material at the registration venue.

During the walk (around Whitchurch) we would visit  several different landscapes, ffrom pastoral ( Queensway allotments and pool), urban (bullring), modern ( Grocontinental biodigester), and panoramic. Drawing pads and pencils required. Finish about 12.00. Make your own arrangements for lunch. There are several pubs in town the Wheatsheaf and Caru Coffi in Green End are doing special festival meal deals [details].

Optionally after lunch , from 14.00 - 15.00 the artists/walkers would use these sketches to create abstract coloured pieces, using whatever medium they wish. Paint, pastel, coloured pencil etc (materials provided).
