LLANGOLLEN HISTORY TRAIL  - led by Liz Evans

Meet at Sherry Mill Hill at 9am, to Car share
The walk leaves at 10am from Llangollen Leisure Centre car park
(Dinbren Rd, Llangollen LL20 8TG)

Once again, we follow Liz on her favourite walk around Llangollen, to re-discover its stunning views and rich heritage. This is a 7 mile, fairly challenging walk with a couple of steep ascents and descents rewarded by some spectacular views. We will then proceed along the Cambrian Way and down to Crucis Abbey for lunch. Refreshments can be purchased and we can enjoy our own sandwiches. We will then walk to the Horseshoe Falls and back along the canal to Llangollen. Please bring suitable clothing, footwear and a packed lunch.

Midweek Walk to MARBURY and back led by Jean White/ Peter Stockbridge

Meet at Sherry Mill Hill car park, 10am [cars not needed]

Pub lunch at the Swan, Jean kindly suggested this walk and will be leading it. It will be around 8 miles and we will meet at Sherry Mill Hill car park and start at 10.00. Jean suggested a route out via the golf course and Wirswall, and we will return via a different route.

  - led by Nigel Hart

Meet at Sherry Mill Hill at 1.30pm, to Car share

Enjoy with us some of the hills and vales of the Shropshire Plain.

Updated 06 Sept 2018

Whitchurch Walkers were formed in 1976 by a group of local people interested in walking and the protection of local footpaths. Whilst the group is not overly large it is well supported and holds one half day Saturday afternoon ramble and one all day Sunday ramble per month throughout the year plus a number of mid week-walks. The Saturday and mid-week walks are normally between 4 and 6 miles and the Sunday walks between 8 to 11 miles.

The Whitchurch Walkers are organised by a committee (listed below) that meets in the Black Bear, High Street, Whitchurch on the last Tuesday of each month except for December and March, which  is reserved for the Annual General Meeting. Every 6 months a new programme is produced and published giving details of the walks planned for the next 6 months.

New members are very welcome to join us. Our current subscriptions, due in March of each year, are:
