we have been able to subsidise many of the walks.  

The 3 Canal Boat Walks are £8/7 each and £5 for under 18s.

For other walks, under 18s go FREE.

Registration for the start of walks is at The Archibald Worthington Club except where otherwise indicated.
The times shown are departure times. You should register in the 10-15 minutes before that.

Minibus to Lyneal Wharf. At 09.00 our narrowboat sets off and drops walkers off near Ellesmere.  Walk around Mere Crimps Farm to Oteley [cafe, farm shop & gardens].  There is a kitchen and toilet on the boat.

Minibus back to Whitchurch.  A packed lunch and drink will be required for the walk.  No dogs.

Sa D3 Canal Boat 2: Bronington & Fenn's Moss to Hampton Bank

Explore Fenn's, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses by walking across the mysterious mosses from Wales to England, returning by canal boat and minibus.
We catch the 09.45 service bus 146 to Bronington from bus station [byTesco]. From there we walk via Bronington Church and Fenn's Whixall Moss to the disabled mooring point near the Prees Canal junction.We board the canal boat, and are dropped off at Hampton Bank around 16.00 from where we catch the minibus back to Whitchurch. There is a kitchen and toilet on the boat.

Please bring packed lunch and drink with you.

Only Shropshire or Welsh bus passes accepted on this service into Wales.

Ellesmere to Bettisfield & Colemere

We take the minibus at 10.20 to the car park by the Ellesmere tunnel. At around 11.00 the narrowboat will pick us up and takes us to Bettisfield [just over 1 hour]. There is a kitchen and toilet on the boat.
We will then walk via the Bettisfield Pilgrim Church [lunch & toilet stop] and your leader hopes to show you the basics of church bell ringing. The walk will continue via Breaden Heath and then take the path between Welshampton and Clarepool Moss. Finally we will head to Colemere walking through the mere-side woods before looking at Colemere Vineyard and the award-winning churchyard,. Minibus pickup at 15.30.
